This article describes the direction a meaningful connection between the two profiles in the new model, the training of teachers of physics and technology, forward-looking integration of modern technologies in the content of general education.The basis of modern technologies is an interdisciplinary approach, convergence of substantive content. When this basic discipline under the convergent approach is physics, which has become the Foundation of understanding and design of new technologies. Understanding this fact requires changes in the role of Physics in the preparation of teachers of technology education. Physics should become the basis for the development of technology. The organizational aspect of the solution of this problem is the dvuhprofil′nyj of applied undergraduate teacher education, "Physics and technology" ("Pedagogical Institute), now being implemented at the Institute of physics, technology and information systems, Moscow State Pedagogical University. In its role as the first profile in the content of the educational program the development of modern technology, physics teacher provides necessary for the understanding of modern technology level of fundamental scientific training, as well as the training of university graduates to teach schoolchildren to modern technologies, for example, developed by FIRO new programme on technology for schools [2, 4], which is a guide for teacher training in technology ALSO.
